My name is Megan Job and I am majoring in Neuroscience major Middlebury College. At the W. Montague Cobb Laboratory, I am working on the 1,000 African American Genome Project with Dr. Latifa Jackson in organizing and coding genomic and ancestral data from 400+ individuals within the African diaspora. My interests are in the intersection of race, disease prevalence, and genomics but specifically, the intersection of disease prevalence and genomics within Black/African American population. I joined the research team at the Cobb Laboratory to study research techniques to map and better understand the impact of race on health within Black/African American population.
