CRL Affiliates Win Travel Awards to Australia!
Dr. Latifa Jackson, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Human Genome Center and Research Associate at the Cobb Research Laboratory and Ms. Jayla Harvey, recent Howard University graduate in Biology are headed to Australia for the presentations of their research at the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution international conference. Dr. Jackson will give a presentation on“A Model to Estimate African Genomic Diversity” (with R. Ghomrasni and F. Jackson) and “Comparative Analysis of DNA Extraction Techniques on DNA yield from Ancient Teeth” (with C. Cross, M. Abbas, and F. Jackson). Ms. Harvey will give a presentation on worldwide genetic variation in serotonin pathway genes associated with bipolar disorder. Dr. Michael Campbell is listed as a co-author. ****
