CRL Director, Dr. Fatimah Jackson travels to Houston, TX for the 14th Annual Health Disparities Workshop

On Saturday, June 25, 2016 one of the out the most successful Annual Disparities in Health in America: Working Toward Social Justice Workshop closed with a Town Hall Meeting at the University of Houston Downtown moderated by Emmy award winning newscaster Patricia Gras with Dr. Camara Jones, the current President of the American Public Health Association as closing keynote speakers.  This year there weremore than 500 individuals attend the workshop either in person or via streaming.  Dr. Fatimah Jackson gave a well-received presentation on population substructure, genomic diversity, and historical perspectives on African American health.
